I am a visual artist. Cooking ethnic foods and trying out new recipes is one of my favorite things. Often it involves sending Steven out for that missing or exotic ingredient. Besides frolicking on snowy days in thin t-shirts (not! this was a painful picture to take!) I adore cross-country skiing in the parks near our home. My houseplants are like pets to me, I love watching things grow. I look forward to spring so I can watch our gardens burst with life. I am currently working on creating a woodland garden with plants native to the Northeast. I am excited to get my seedlings started for out veggie garden and hope to install rain barrels to catch our roof water to irrigate our gardens with. Canoeing season starts soon which is something Steve and I love to do together. My bunny, Zephyr was my addition to our little family. Watching him prune the garden is always a treat. He is anxious to get back to work this year. Ha!
I am a high school English teacher. I enjoy playing guitar and writing songs. I am studying to be a personal trainer, and I engage in weight training and jogging. I have also really gotten into cross-country skiing. I am convinced that all couples should take up canoing as a pre-marriage exercise. It forces good communication---without it you'll flip (and in canoing that isn't a good thing). I like cooking with Karin and (of course) eating the food! We love to stargaze and we have had the pleasure of witnessing many unique celestial events.
I am the recycling guru and have a ritual every Tuesday of organizing and sorting the recyclables for the Wednesday morning pick up. My seven-toed cat, Kitty is my addition to our family.
