As we head out of our Christmas haze, I began to reminisce about Christmases of days of yore:
Three years ago I had given my wife the National Green Pages. The National Green Pages is an alternative phone book published by Co-op America that advertises green products and services. My wife was thrilled to receive this gift and was fascinated by the vast array of green businesses out there just waiting to be discovered.
Two years ago I gave my wife a Bag-E-Wash for Christmas. Bag-E-Wash is a product that you can use to wash your Ziplock bags in the dishwasher! I first discovered the Bag-E-Wash from the pages of the aforementioned National Green Pages (in fact, this was my first purchase from this publication). Now think, how many Ziplock bags have you thrown away in a year? How about a family of four? My wife and I decided that we were going to begin washing and reusing our Ziplock bags. Unfortunately, hand washing didn't always get the bags as clean as we would've preferred, and when washed in the dishwasher, often times the bags would tip over and fill up full of water and detergent. That's why the Bag-E-Wash seemed like a great idea. The aperatus is comprised of an adjustable plastic base that can clip onto the metal rack of your dishwasher. Attached to the base are two adjustable plastic holders for two Ziplock bags. With the Bag-E-Wash we've been able to wash and dry our bags and reuse them with ease!
Now, that's one green sexy product!
